“What do you mean the company won’t hire anyone?” Chanyeol said. Suho sighed.
“They said that English isn’t necessary right now and that we can learn it when we get closer to doing a world tour,” he said. Chanyeol groaned and sat down next to Baekhyun. All the other members were silent. Recently, they had all been training for their comeback when they had started talking. The last time they went to America they had a hard time communicating with their fans and none of them really liked that so when they got back, they all decided that it was time they learned some English.
Unfortunately, it seemed like that wasn’t going to happen.
“So what are we going to do?” Kai asked. Suho sighed again.
“There’s not really anything we can do,” he said. Xiumin’s eyes popped a little bit as if he got an idea.
“What if we just hire our own teacher?” he asked.
“We don’t really have the money to pay for one,” Chanyeol pointed out.
“That doesn’t mean there isn’t a teacher who would be willing to teach us,” Luhan said, taking Xiumin’s side. Suho sighed.
“You can look for one, but if you can’t find someone, we need to stick with the companies decision,” he said. Xiumin smiled. They were all determined to learn more and he wasn’t going to let them down by not finding a teacher.
He was the oldest after all. He needed to be able to take care of the rest of the members and though he couldn’t always do it, Xiumin wanted to be able to at least to do this for them. As the members separated to go to their room for bed, Luhan wandered over to Xiumin. The two of them had been close ever since their promotions in China. They weren’t sure why, they just knew that they both got along well.
“You want me to come with you to help?” Luhan offered. Xiumin shook his head.
“No, I can handle this. I’ll just go to a few schools and talk to their English teachers. Hopefully one of them would be willing to teach us,” he said. Luhan nodded, but his eyes were still worried.
“Are you sure you should be out alone?” he asked. Xiumin smiled at his friend’s concern.
“I’ll be fine. Besides, if you came with me then we’d really stand out,” he pointed out. Luhan nodded.
“True,” he admitted. Xiumin smiled again and sat down in front of their computer. He wanted to look up some schools staff lists and making a list of possible teachers. He wanted to at least have a little idea of what he was going to do for the next day. He decided to look at schools with all girls. Any teacher who taught for all girls probably knew who they were and that could work in their favor.
As he clocked through the schools staff lists one name caught his eye.
Melanie Hart. She was only twenty-two and had just started at an all girls school near their dorm. Her name sounded American so he clicked on it to bring up her picture. She was pretty for a teacher. Her hair was cut to her shoulders and was a dark red shade. She seemed to have a kind smile. He was definitely going to have to add her to the list. Writing down her name he shut down the computer.
It was already almost midnight and they had practice first thing in the morning. Sighing, Xiumin stood up and went back to the room he shared with Luhan and Kris. Both of them were already asleep in their respective beds so Xiumin tried to be as quiet as possible as he crawled into his.
The next day after practice he would go talk to those teachers and hopefully he could find one that would be willing to teach them all.
